One palette
One palette, so getting dressed is one decision. Every piece goes with at least two others: cream, camel, taupe, chocolate and black carry the range, and burgundy joins for autumn. Everything we say, you can check.
Each piece is chosen one at a time and described part by part on its own page: the neckline, the closure, where the hem falls, how the cloth behaves. What the cloth is made of, the label sewn inside it says.
The range, counted
158 pieces as you read this. 27 of them are coats and jackets, 8 are denims, 11 are dresses; the rest is knitwear, tops and the things that go under them. Those numbers are counted by this page, not typed into it, so they cannot drift away from the shop. Count them yourself if you like: the shop is the whole shop, not a front page standing in front of a warehouse.
There is no timer on this page, no counter pretending to run down, no note telling you how many other people are looking. If something is here, you can buy it.
What we will and will not claim
Nothing here is certified, award-winning or endorsed by anyone. We make only the claims you could check yourself, by handling the garment or reading the label sewn inside it. If a product page says a denim is firm, your hands will agree or we have failed. We do not print fibre percentages we cannot stand behind, and we would rather describe how a finish behaves than put a word on it that a laboratory would argue with.
That is the whole editorial policy, and it applies to this page too.
About the name
Nora Lanelle is the name of the label, not of a person. There is no founder called Nora, no atelier, no archive, no story older than the label itself. Plenty of new brands invent a history, complete with a grandmother and a village. We would rather tell you plainly that ours starts here, and let the clothes carry the rest.
